Lord Shiva is the god of destruction according to Hindu mythology. He is the husband of Goddess Parvati. According to mythology, he dwells in a place called Kailasa of the Himalayas. He is known by a lot of names. He has a lot of names. Rudra, Kailas Nath, Badrinath, Pasupati, Umaapathi etc are some of his names. The followers of Shiva are called as 'Shaivas'.
