How to change password for Jiofi 3/Jiofi M2?
Here is how to change the Wifi password for Jiofi. The default password of the device will be found on the box. If you want to change it you can change it through your mobile or computer, follow these easy stepsStep 1: Open the chrome browser in your mobile/laptop/computer.
Step 2: Go to web address http://jiofi.local.html [Do not use UC Browser]
Note: If you are using UC Browser you cant access the page http://jiofi.local.html. So use only chrome or other browser in your mobile. Don't use UC Browser.
Step 3: Click on Login button.
Step 4: Give username as "administrator". Give password also as "administrator"
Step 5: You will get a message like this: "Jiofi.local.html says: Would you like to change default username and password?". Select the option: Cancel
Step 6: Now in newly appeared page, click on the Network tab
Step 7: Choose the tab option in the left named Wifi configuration. In the configuration page, you will see a password field in the bottom. edit the old password and change it to your new password.
Step 8: After you gave the new password, click Save
Step 9: You will be asked "Are you sure want to change the Wifi settings now?". For that answer with "OK" option
Step 10: Now you can see your Wifi internet connection disconnected. Don't worry this is because you can no longer connect with the old password.
Step 11: Now go to wifi setting in your mobile/laptop. Long Tap on the Jiofi connection and select Forget the network option.
Step 12: Now again tap on the Jiofi connection and select Connect
Step 13: You will be asked password. Type in the new password
Step 14: You can see that you are successfully connected.
Step 15: Give your new password to your fiends to connect to your Jiofi internet
How to connect Jiofi to PC using USB
- Connect the one end USB data cable to laptop/PC and other end to Jiofi.
- There is no software needed, no additional installations, you are connected.
- You can see Jiofi connected in your network and sharing center
How to make calls connecting Jiofi with your mobile
- Install Jio 4g voice application
- Configure the device by first giving your alternative number.
- You will get an OTP(One Time Password).
- Type in the OTP number in the Jiofi voice app.
- You are connected and now you can make calls through your phone while being connected with Jiofi.
How to access memory card data in Jiofi?
- Go to your web browser (Note: Don't access through UCBrowser. You can't access through UC Browser)
- Type in address "jiofi.local.html"
- You will be asked your password and username.
- If you haven't changed the username and password before, you can type in the default username and password. The default, password and username is "administrator". Type "administartor" in both the username and password fields. If you have changed the username and password, give your changed username and password.
- If the username and password are given, you will be taken to the configuration page of Jiofi. From that page, click on the Wifi disk tab.
- You can see the files here. You can download, share or manage different files in the memory card now.
